Property and Cancellation Policies:

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:

Regular bookings (this does not apply to large groups or dive group bookings) may be cancelled according to the following cancellation terms:

  1. Once a Booking is confirmed and the 'Booking Guarantee and administrative fee' has been paid (25% of the total reservation value), This is a 'Final Booking Confirmed'.
  2. Any 'Final Confirmed Booking' that is cancelled at any time after payment of the 'Booking Guarantee and Administrative Fee' and 14 days prior to guest arrival may be cancelled in full, and you will be eligible for a refund of the 25% 'Booking Guarantee and Administrative Fee' originally paid upon booking confirmation and DCP will release the rooms immediately.
  3. Any ‘'Final booking confirmed'’, If the reservation is cancelled after payment of the 'Booking Guarantee and Administrative Fee' less than 14 days before the guest's arrival, the 25% 'Booking Guarantee and Administrative Fee' originally paid on the booking confirmation will not be refunded and DCP will release the rooms immediately.

a. All cancellations must be made in writing and will be recorded as received on the date of the respective written notification.

  1. If a change to a booking is requested, DCP will attempt to accommodate the change at no additional charge to the client. However, if the change results in a loss of revenue or a reduction in booking volume, DCP reserves the right to recalculate the quote and adjust it accordingly. A handling fee of 5% may apply, depending on the nature of the changes.
  2. Unused portions of dive packages cancelled as a result of weather or force majeure are refundable.
  3. No refunds are given when a customer does not complete a dive or any other activity due to their inability to complete said activity on the date and time.
  4. No refunds are given when a guest or client is unwilling to use a booked activity because they "changed their mind" or for any other reason that prevents them from using the previously booked activity. No part of a booking may be transferred from one guest to another unless DCP agrees.
  5. Late notice changes (less than 8 hours) to your arrival details, given that you have booked a pickup, may result in the full 100% charge for that pickup, in addition to the charges for your new pickup. DCP will always try to avoid any additional charges for the customer, but DCP uses a third-party carrier. If the carrier charges DCP, DCP will then have to charge the customer for these late notice transfer changes.

Terms and Conditions

Reservation Guarantee and administrative fee: A payment of 25% of the total booking value is due within the initial booking period, after the quoting process and the client's final confirmation of approval of the quote and their desire to finalize the booking. Once this payment, the 'Booking Guarantee and Administration Fee', is received, DCP guarantees the booking in its entirety and will ensure that the room(s) are held as reserved. Only after DCP receives payment of the 'Booking Guarantee and Administration Fee' is the booking considered a "final confirmed booking." A "Booking Guarantee and Administration Fee" is defined as a charge for the booking and guaranteeing of a room and all administrative work performed by DCP during the booking process. All services related to the Booking Guarantee and Administration Fee are considered delivered upon invoicing.

Final payment: The final payment can be cancelled on the day of the guest's arrival.

Payment method: All accommodation and package prices are quoted in US dollars and represent the amount in dollars that DCP will receive in Panama. Payment is accepted by check, direct transfer to DCP's bank account, or credit card. Any fees incurred in sending funds to DCP will be the responsibility of the client. Payments by any other means (non-Panamanian currencies, credit card, etc.) are accepted by mutual agreement but may be subject to an additional administrative fee.

Packages and special offers: The advertised packages or "special offers" include all advertised components and cannot be broken down into individual components. No component of any package or special offer may be transferred from one person to another or exchanged for cash or other services if it is not used for any reason.

Documentation: A valid passport or national identity card is required for Panamanians. All divers must be medically fit to participate in SCUBA diving activities and hold a current certification from an accredited and recognized diving organization. Proof of certification will be required before diving. Only Discovery Diving allows diving without certification. Guests must sign liability waivers and risk assumption documents before participating in any aquatic activity. A guest's refusal to sign these documents will prevent DCP from providing such activities. No refunds will be issued in circumstances where a guest refuses to sign the relevant documentation.

Group diving packages: Any dive package booked for 5 or more divers is defined as a “group dive package” and will often feature preferential pricing and inclusions. As such, the group must travel as a single unit, and if individuals arrive or depart at different times, requiring separate transfers, these additional transfers will be charged separately from the group quote. Dives must be completed by the group as a group until the package of dives is used up. If individuals within the group choose not to dive on any given day for any reason, they cannot carry over that portion of their package for later use. Package dives are quoted regardless of usage and are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be used against other services.

Accommodation replacements: DCP reserves the right, at any time for good cause, force majeure, an emergency, or a problem with the facilities, to provide alternative accommodation. Any substitute accommodation will be of the same or a better standard than the originally booked accommodation. If the standard cannot be maintained, the guest will be offered a refund for the difference in accommodation standard according to DCP's official rates.

Children's Policy: DCP's 'Children's Policy' is as follows: Children under 6 years of age will not pay any accommodation charges. Cribs are available free of charge upon request. Additional guests will be charged an extra $20.00 and will be entitled to an extra bed.

Smoking policies: All guest rooms and public areas are smoke-free to protect the health of non-smokers. Guests caught smoking on hotel premises or in guest rooms will be charged a cleaning fee of $100 USD. An outdoor smoking area is available.

Pet Policy: We are not pet-friendly.

Guest responsibility: Guests are required to follow all instructions given by DCP while participating in any of the activities offered by DCP. All DCP directives are in accordance with safety standards and are designed to ensure the safety of all DCP guests. Any action by a guest deemed illegal under Panamanian law will result in the guest being removed from the premises and the matter being reported to the appropriate authorities.

We recommend insurance:  Since DCP accepts no responsibility for any delays, inconveniences, or additional expenses that may be caused directly or indirectly by events beyond DCP's control, and since DCP will not accept any liability for any injury, loss, or damage to guests' personal equipment during their stay at the Hotel or while participating in any activity, we strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance that covers all aspects of such potential causes and events and covers unforeseen circumstances. Guests intending to participate in any adventure activities, such as scuba diving, must ensure their insurance covers those activities. Appropriate and mandatory insurance is required for all guests participating in scuba diving!
